Rohan, a teenage boy, was very picky about his food. It was only his mother, Ruchi, who, along the years, had mastered the art of catering to Rohan’s taste buds. It could be said that Rohan would only eat food made by his mother.

Even at restaurants he barely touched his plate and street food was never an attraction to him.

He stayed immersed in books and activities all day but when his stomach growled you could be sure that he would sneak into the kitchen to see what his mother was cooking. He would never go without having at least two meals of ghar ka khana every day.

Things took a turn for the worse when Rohan, indulging in his new-found love for cycling, met with a serious accident while trying to make his bike jump across a flight of stairs.

As a result he had to be admitted to a nursing home for treatment to his wounds and surgery for his broken bones.

This, however, was an extremely unsuitable situation for Rohan. The nursing home’s food was not something he could bring himself to eat.

He missed his mother’s food and on top of that, was limited by the number of things he could do while being in the nursing home.

All these factors together made him home-sick. Rohan would end up eating only the bare minimum and refuse to eat any further. This made the doctors concerned. They told Rohan’s parents that this was not good for his recovery.

One doctor suggested that they try to get his post-surgical treatment done at home. His parents decided that this was a better option and it was definitely more important to get his nutrition levels to rise and also so that he could get better happily.

Through the doctor’s themselves they learnt about HealthCare atHOME and its various services. They then wasted no time in booking wound dressing, physiotherapy and nursing services for Rohan at home.

Thankfully for Rohan, after 3 days of the nursing home, he was back home to his books, his movies, and most importantly, his mother’s home-made food.
