PRESET STATIONS

• Turn radio on.• Select band.• Tune to desired station.• Press one of six numbered buttons

for two seconds.

SETTING THE TIME

All radios:

• Press and hold HR button until correct hour appears in display.

• Press and hold MN button until correct minute appears in display.

• Display time when ignition is off by pressing either HR or MN button.

RDS radio only: To synchronize timewith RDS broadcast information:

• Press and hold HR and MN buttons at same time until TIME UPDATED is displayed. If time is not available from station, NO STATION TIME will be displayed.

LOADING CD CHANGER

• Slide the door of the changer open. The magazine will eject onlywhen the door is completely open.

• Press the EJECT button to remove the magazine. (The EJECT button ison the upper left after the door is opened. In this view, the button is hidden by the closed door.)

• Load the trays into the magazine from the bottom to the top, placing the label side of the CD up.

• To remove a tray, press the buttonon the back of the magazine.

• Push the magazine into the changer, following the direction of the arrow marked on top of the magazine.

FRONT CLIMATE CONTROLSYSTEMYour climate control systemcan operate automatically ormanually. In the automaticmode, the systemautomatically controls thetemperature and fan speed.

1. Fan Speeds Driver-Side Temperature KnobPress the knob to turn thesystem on. Turn the knob to increaseor decrease thetemperature.

2. Outside TemperatureDisplay

3. AutoPress the AUTO button toswitch from manual toautomatic operation.

4. Passenger-SideTemperaturePress the PASS TEMPbutton to turn the systemon. Press the up or downarrow to increase ordecrease thetemperature.

5. PASS OFFPress button to deactivatethe dual zone system.

6. ACPress this button to turn theair conditioning on and off.

7. RecirculationPress this button to limitthe amount of outside airentering the vehicle.

8. FanDuring AUTO operation,the fan is automatically

controlled. In the manualmode, to increase ordecrease fan speed, pressthe up or down arrow.

9. ModePress the button todeliver air through thefloor, middle orwindshield outlets.Settings include heater,bi-level, upper and defog.

DRIVER MEMORY SETTINGS(if equipped)

Three-Button Memory SystemsIf your vehicle is equipped with thethree-button memory system, followthese procedures to set the memory:

With the vehicle in Park (P) adjust thedriver’s seat including lumbar supportand recliner, outside rearview mirrorpositions, climate control and audiosettings and (if equipped) powertilt/telescoping steering wheelposition.

Note: Memory 1 or 2 isdependent on the RKEtransmitter being used and thekey being in the ignition duringprogramming. See the back ofyour RKE transmitter for thecorresponding memory number.

Note: Turn the Rainsense wipersoff to avoid wiper damage whengoing through an automatic carwash.

Rainsense™ Wipers (if equipped)

The Rainsense system monitors theamount of moisture on thewindshield and automaticallyoperates the wipers as needed,depending on driving conditions andthe sensitivity setting. The moisturesensor is mounted on the interiorside of the windshield behind therearview mirror.

The Rainsense wipers operate in adelay mode as well as a continuouslow or high speed as needed. If thesystem is left on for long periods oftime, occasional wipes may occurwithout any moisture on thewindshield to indicate the system isactive.

To activate the Rainsense wipers: Turn the wiper band to one of thefive sensitivity levels indicated on thewiper stalk. The position closest toOFF is the lowest sensitivity level.

Each higher sensitivity level increasesthe frequency of wipes. The systemcan be overridden at any time bymanually turning the wiper band toLO or HI speed.

When the Rainsense system is active,the headlamps will turn onautomatically to increase yourvehicle’s visibility.

OnStar® (if equipped)OnStar® is a hands-freecommunications link between thevehicle and the OnStar® Center. Ifequipped with OnStar, one year ofthe Directions & Connections serviceplan will be provided. Refer to yourOnStar supplement for full details ofavailable services and how to accessthem.

1. Press and hold Memory button 1 or 2, located on the driver’s door panel, until a beep sounds. Look at the back of your RKE transmitter to determine which Memory button you need to set.

Set EXIT Position

1. Recall driver position by briefly pressing the appropriate Memory button or RKE unlock button.

2. Adjust driver seat and power tilt/telescoping steering wheel (if equipped) to the desired exit position.

3. Press and hold the EXIT button until a beep sounds.

These settings can be recalled bypressing the Memory 1 or 2 buttonon the driver’s door, or by using theRemote Keyless Entry (RKE)transmitter. The vehicle memorysettings will correspond to thenumber on the RKE: 1 or 2.

HEATED SEATSHEATED AND COOLED SEATS(if equipped)

Your vehicle may have heated orheated and cooled seats. The buttonsare located on the driver and frontpassenger door armrests.

The button with the heat linesthrough just the seatback activatesthe heated seatback.

The button with heat lines throughboth the seatback and seat cushionactivates the heated seatback andseat cushion.

The button with the snowflake abovethe seat activates the cooledseatback and seat cushion.

There are three temperature settingsfor each of the above features.

A light bar on the controls willdisplay which setting is selected:high, medium or low. The longestbar shows the high range and theshortest bar shows the low range.

When you press a button, the featurewill turn on the highest setting. Eachtime you press the button, thefeature will decrease onetemperature setting.

To turn the feature off, continuepressing the button until the displaylights turn off.

Note: There is a slight delay inseat recall position to avoidinadvertent activation. Holdingthe button until the beep soundswill reset the memory position.

ULTRASONIC REAR PARKINGASSIST (URPA) (if equipped)

This feature uses ultrasonic sensors tohelp determine how close an objectis to your rear bumper.

Both a variable audible chime andthree color-coded lights (locatedinside your vehicle above the rearwindow) convey your distance to anobject.

URPA activates automatically whenyour vehicle is shifted into Reverse(R) and your vehicle speed is lessthan 3 mph (5 km/h).

Disable URPATo disable URPA, press the URPAon/off button located near theclimate control system and radio.

NIGHT VISION (if equipped)This feature helps you see better atnight — beyond the headlamps —by sensing heat given off by objectsin its field of view.

Warmer objects such as pedestrians,animals and other moving vehicleswill appear white. Colder objects,such as the sky, signs and parkedvehicles, will appear darker.

The controls are located on thelower-left side of the instrumentpanel. They can be used to adjust thebrightness and location of the image.

1. Operate Night VisionMove the dimmer switch up to turnNight Vision on. Continue upward toincrease brightness. Move the switchdown to decrease brightness.

To turn off the image, move thedimmer switch to the OFF position.

2. Locate ImagePress the up arrow on the IMAGEswitch to raise the image. Press thedown arrow to lower the image.

Personalization Guide

To begin programming, press ( ) on the INFO button until Feature Programming appears in the DIC. Press theON/OFF button to enter feature programming. Press down ( ) on the INFO button to scroll through the menu. To exit, press the INFO RESET button.

DIC = Driver Information Center RKE = Remote Keyless Entry

With the ignition key ON and the vehicle in Park (P), press thememory button “1” or “2” on the driver’s door panel thatcorresponds to the number on the back of your RKE. Note: Memory1 or 2 operation is dependent on the RKE transmitter being used andthe key being in the ignition during programming. See the back ofyour RKE transmitter for the corresponding memory number.

The following features and instructions are for vehicles equippedwith either Digital or Analog instrument clusters.

The back-lit buttons, which control the DIC, are located immediately to the right of the instrument cluster (shownright):• INFO selects the next feature.• INFO/RESET exits the programming.• ON/OFF turns feature on or off.
