BERGEN
The Kystbussen coastal express bus – travel in comfort through a beautiful coastal landscapeThe coastal express bus between Bergen and Stavanger takes you straight from city centre to city centre. The bus journey along the beautiful coast of Western Norway offers great views of snow-capped mountains, shimmering fjords and small picturesque farms and villages. The journey between Bergen and Stavanger includes two ferry crossings, one crossing the Bjørnafjord (approx. 45 minutes) and one crossing the Boknafjord (approx. 20 minutes). In addition to Bergen City of Culture and Norway’s oil capital Stavanger, the bus stops at most stops along the route. Haugesund, the ‘home of the Viking Kings’ is worth stopping off at, or perhaps you will be tempted to stop at Stord, a great base for exploring the Sunnhordland region. The Kystbussen coastal express bus departs about once an hour throughout the day. Our buses are very modern, with top-class comfort, power outlets and a WC on board. The journey takes around 5 hours. Just lean back and relax, and the driver will get you safely to your destination. Ferry tickets are included in the ticket price.
