Introduction
This presentation tells you how to access and navigate the performance reports for AT&T Network Functions on Demand. These reports are delivered by the Business Reports & Information tool.

Using the Resources Navigator (1 of 2)
1. The Resources Navigator for Network Functions on Demand appears.
2. Clicking any element on the left refreshes the list of resources to the right. For example, clicking Virtual Routers causes your virtual routers to appear in the resources list.

Using the Resources Navigator (2 of 2)
1. Right-clicking an element causes a list to appear. For example, you could right-click Virtual Routers.
2. Hover your mouse over the kind of report you are interested in viewing. For example, you could hover over vRouter.
3. A slide-out list appears. Click the report you are interested in viewing. For example, you could click Inventory.
The bottom portion of the screen refreshes to show your report, as shown later in this presentation. The report you see and the measurements presented depend on the resources you select.
4. You can also navigate to reports by using the tabs, such as the vRouter tab. The tabs that appear vary depending on the resources you select.
You can also use the tabs to do further filtering by selecting the network elements of interest and running a report on only those.

Filtering on the Resources Navigator
1. If you want to filter the results that will appear in your report, enter your filter criteria in the filter fields.
• You may filter on two criteria by using both fields.
• If you want to filter on only one criterion, enter it in the first filter field and place an asterisk in the second filter field. Other-wise, an error message will appear.
• To enter two strings within one field, use a comma to indicate OR.
2. When you are ready, click the green checkmark.
3. The resources list refreshes to display only information that matches your filter criteria.
Note: To reset the Resources Navigator, enter *in both filter criteria fields and click the green checkmark.

Report types for Regions or Sites
You can generate a number of reports for regions and sites. Of particular interest is the COS report called Queue Performance per COS (the others are discussed on the next few slides).
To navigate to the reports:
1. Right-click Regions or Sites
2. Hover over the COS pop-up
3. Left-click Queue Performance per COS

Report types for Interfaces
The Interface reports you can generate are:
– Discards/Errors Extended*
– Performance Extended
– Performance Extended Top 10
– Utilization
– Utilization Extended
To navigate to the reports:
1. Right-click Interfaces
2. Hover over the Interface pop-up
3. Left-click the report of interest
* “Extended” means the report contains many columns and may take a bit longer to appear on your screen. To generate reports more quickly, choose reports that do not say “Extended,” or use the tabs above the resources list as filters.

Report types for vRouters
The vRouter reports you can generate are:
– Buffer Stats – Unfiltered*
– Forwarding Performance – Unfiltered
– Inventory
– Processor Memory Free
– Routing Performance – Unfiltered
To navigate to the reports:
1. Right-click Virtual Routers
2. Hover over the vRouter pop-up
3. Left-click the report of interest
* Unfiltered reports present the full complement of data and are not filtered, even if you use the Resources Navigator Filter as described on slide 9. However, to produce your reports more quickly, you can use the tabs above the resources list as filters.

Report types for IP to IP (site to site)
The IP-to-IP reports you can generate are:
– Jitter Performance Per COS Extended*
– Performance Per COS Extended
To navigate to the reports:
1. Right-click Site to Site
2. Hover over the IP to IP pop-up
3. Left-click the report of interest
* “Extended” means the report contains many columns and may take a bit longer to appear on your screen. To generate reports more quickly, choose reports that do not say “Extended,” or use the tabs above the resources list as filters.

Filtering measurements
1. To filter the measurements in any column, enter the filtering criterion in its filtering field. Each column contains a filtering field. For example, we could enter “<25” in the Mem Util (%) BusyHour column.
2. Click the Filter Trigger icon when it appears.
3. The filtered report is displayed, listing only results where the percent memory utilization at the busy hour is <25.
To return to an unfiltered report, remove the criterion from the filtering field and click the Filter Trigger icon again.
Notes:
Text Columns
• Text that contains the specified character string is displayed.
Numeric columns
• Supported operators are = , <, <=, >, >=.• If no operator is specified, = is used.• Boolean operations are not supported within report filtering.

Viewing a graph of your results
1. To view a graph of the results, click any table entry, such as the percentage memory utilization at the busiest hour.
2. A graph of your results appears. This example is a daily graph that begins on June 19 and shows a week of data. Hover over the endpoints of a time interval on the graph to see the actual measurements.
3. A legend appears below each graph.
4. You can create the graph for different time periods in the upper right. Check the green arrow to the right to create the new graph.
5. To download a graph or report, click Export and choose a format.
6. To access context-sensitive online help, such as that on the next slide, click Explain.
7. To view the graph with the most recently collected measurements, click Regenerate.
