Why We’re Here

What We Do

Food Gatherers rescues food from local food businesses that would otherwise go to waste.

Rescued food is supplemented with food bank purchasing, food drive donations and state and federal resources. More than 5 million pounds of food are distributed to 150+ non-profit partner programs.

Together, we fill the plates of our hungry neighbors for more than 15,000 meals a day!

Hunger is real for 1 in 7 people in Washtenaw County*.
