GERI MOULTONCHILDREN’S

PARK

Beneath the canopy of ancient oaks and streamers of Spanish moss, the

world of children reflected in timeless bronze conveys a message of

playfulness, a harmony of hope and healing. Many generous

contributors have made this dream – Geri Moulton Children’s Park – a

reality and created this magnificent place to further the mission of this

unique hospital.

The building at the end of this street is not simply concrete, steel and

technology. It is much more. It houses doctors, nurses, staff and

volunteers who aid healing through optimism, knowledge, skill and a

deep sense of love and energetic giving.

USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital provides specific services not

available anywhere else on the Gulf Coast, and Geri Moulton

Children’s Park provides a place to rest, to reflect…a place of peace and

a place to heal the mind.

This park is not complete. It continues to be a perpetual work. We

welcome your support and encourage you to become a part of the

Geri Moulton Children’s Park.

Please call Ginny Turner at (251) 460-7032 if you would like more information on Geri Moulton Children’s Park.

USA Children’s & Women’s Hospital is among less than ten freestanding hospitalsin the United States dedicated specifically to the health care needs of children andwomen. The idea of pairing a children’s sculpture park and a hospital is based onsomething that we have done for many years at USA Children’s & Women’sHospital. We have provided a place that, in every way possible, supports the healingprocess.

The Geri Moulton Children’s Park, located in a wooded setting along the hospital’sentrance drive, provides a tranquil place where children can set aside thoughts ofinjury and illness, where families can find respite from worry, and where thecommunity can leave behind the stress of everyday life.

The park is filled with more than 50 life-size bronze sculptures depicting childrenand families, providing a wonderful place of enjoyment and contemplation, andnew sculptures are constantly being added. Patrons, patient families and hospital

friends donated all the sculptures. Because oftheir generosity, Mobile is home to one of thecountry’s premier sculpture parks.

The USA Board of Trustees in 2009 named thepark in honor of Geri Moulton, wife of USAPresident Gordon Moulton, for her long-termefforts that led to the creation and success ofthe park.

Admission to the park is free and the park is openevery day of the year. For more information, please visit us atwww.southalabama.edu/usacwh and click on Geri Moulton Children’s Park, or call(251) 460-7032.
