Computer Lab Manual: USERS: The computer labs in Reed Lab are available for use to all students in the Program. Unde rgr adua te stu dents usu all y use the lab on the 3rd fl oor in #308 and Gradua te students working on GIS, Remote Sensing or Photogrammetry use the Lab on the 4th floor in #402. All other students, who are not Geomatics majors, will be able to use the labs only during the semester they are enrolled in a class with an SUR prefix. LOG IN: Username: Gatorlink ID Password: Gatorlink Password. Connect to UFAD. POLICIES: It is your responsibility to read and abide by the following guidelines: 1. The computers are for use by all students. Do not over burden the machines by storing files or downloading programs on local h ard drives, this includes your desktop. 2. Files stored on local hard drives may be deleted without warning. This includes the “Desktop” of the machine. 3. You may store up to 500mb on the file server if you are an undergraduate student and 600mb if you are a graduate student. For instructions on connecting to the file serverclickhere.Save your files only in your folder (same as your gatorlink ID). Any of yourfiles found outside of your folder may be deleted without warning. 4. Saving and backing up your work is YOUR responsibility. 5. The lab is available to you only when another class is not using it. If there is a class in the lab, that you are not enrolled in, please allow those students access to the computers. It would be better if you left the room, since your presence may distract/disturb the instructor and/or students. 6. DO NOT alter any program files. DO NOT download any new programs. 7. DO NOT eat or drink near the computers. Crumbs, spills and stains are not welcome. There is a lunch area available for your use in #206. 8. Tobacco use of any kind is not allowed in the labs or elsewhere in the building.
