Ptuj

Ptuj is the oldest town

of Slovenia. It is situated in

on the banks of Drava river.

In the middle of the town

there is a castle on a hill.

Three mountain ranges:

Julian Alps,Karavanke, Kamniško savinjske

Alpe.

The highest mountain is Triglav, 2864m

About sixty percent of

the country’s surface is

covered by woods.

Lake Bled is famous for its island and an old church on it.

Triglav national park is located in Julian Alps.

Caves of the Karst: lime stone region in Slovenia full of caves and other Karst phenomena.

Cerkno lake can be totally dry, with water in the underground, but it can also cause floods.
