The time between the first prophet’s writing and the last

All but one of these men were Hebrews, and they wrote down

God’s words in their own languages –Hebrew, Aramaic,

and Greek.

Even though it was written by 40 different men, the Bible is

consistent.

There are different types of writing in the Bible; for

instance, poetry, history, and letter. The style of the book

makes a difference in the way you read the book.

www.turnbacktogod.com

Page 17: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

God is supreme (above all things) and sovereign.

Page 18: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

God is perfectly intelligent enough to have made the world.

Page 19: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

God is perfectly powerful enough to have made everything all at

once.

www.turnbacktogod.com

Page 20: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

God is completely independent of everything and everyone.(He existed without creation before

He made it.)

Verse 1

If you saw a painting in my home, you would ask me “Who made this painting?” not “What made

this painting?”

Page 26: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

In other words, creativity demands personality; God

created the world, therefore, He is personal or has personality.

Covenants

Another name for a covenant is a testament.

www.turnbacktogod.com

Page 28: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

What is a covenant?

Covenant - a strong agreement between two people wanting to

form a relationship.

www.turnbacktogod.com

Page 29: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

God wanted to form relationship with man. The being that created

all things wanted to know personally one of the things He

created.

www.turnbacktogod.com

Page 30: Genesis 1 . Introduction .

This demonstrates the personal side of God. Even the divisions of the Bible show that God has desired relationship from the beginning.

Old Testament/Covenant and the New Testament/Covenant.
