Why should I submit reports via EDS?

• Utilizing EDS allows for a more cost efficient and accurate method of filing, unlike submitting paper forms.

• Electronic reporting reduces the need for paper storage and allows for quicker future reference.

• The cost of monthly postage is no longer necessary.

• Since monthly reports need to be postage stamped by the 10th of each month at the latest, EDS provides a full 24 hours for submission electronically.

• Numerous tutorials are available to aid in the completion and submission of the various online reports.

• There is instant feedback that the State has received your report.

• The system places your information into all applicable areas and performs the calculations automatically for you, lessening chances of mathematical errors.

How do I submit reports?

Reports can be submitted in one of two ways.

• Web-based Reporting: Recommended for small to medium size filers. This method allows the user to enter data directly into a web interface. Internet Explorer is highly recommended when utilizing monthly web-based reporting.

• Batch Upload (FTP) Reporting: Recommended for medium to large organizations. This method requires your data center or IT person to create a flat file and upload it to the Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco’s servers via File Transfer Protocol (FTP).

How do I register?

• Regardless of the submission option (web-based or FTP), the system will prompt user registration and creation of a user account.

• Several instructional tutorials and FAQs have been provided on the Division of Alcoholic Beverages & Tobacco’s website to aid in the process of registration.
