General Obligation Bond Election
Tuesday, November 3, 2020
Community Members,
I am writing on behalf of the Santa Fe County Board of County
Commissioners to provide voters
with information regarding the general obligation bond proposals
in the upcoming election. On July
14, 2020, the Board adopted Resolution 2020-57 which places
three Bond Questions on the election
ballot for Santa Fe County voters to consider as part of the
November 3, 2020, general election.
The three Bond Questions ask County voters if they would like to
fund up to $20 million in
capital infrastructure projects in the following areas:
Open Space, Trails and Parks
Roads
Water and Wastewater
The general obligation bond projects are selected to benefit a
broad range of community needs
and are leveraged with additional County funds to ensure
successful implementation.
If voters approve the $20 million in bond questions, property
owners will not see any
increase to their property taxes.
The Board respectfully encourages all Santa Fe County residents
to educate themselves about the
purpose and content of the Bond Election and be sure to vote on
November 3rd. If you have any
questions regarding these items, the election or the County in
general, please contact the County
Manager's Office at (505)982-6200.
Sincerely,
Henry P. Roybal,
Chair, Board of County Board of County Commission
