General Election Edition 2010 Three Years Ago… When the 469 Political Action Committee (469 PAC) adopted a new set of goals and a more defined vision three years ago, we set out to become more relevant and effective in Arizona politics. I am happy to announce our goals have begun to be realized! What was a handful of volunteers has grown into a small army of more than 250 Pipe Trades volunteers from across the state. This has allowed the 469 PAC to play a much larger role inArizona politics.PAC 469 events have been held in cities across the state, from Flagstaff to Tucson, to Prescott and Sahuarita. The increased number of volunteers has allowed the PAC to assist more candidates who are committed to the goals and values of 469. Evidence of our involvement was seen during the Primary Elections in August where 94 percent of 469-endorsed candidates were successful in their campaigns! Our Work is Not Yet Done The proof is in the numbers − in mid-September, 85 volunteers participated in the 469’s “BIG” Day of Action, making it the largest 469 PAC event in history.Despite the PAC’s growth,we are far from finished. The 469 PAC will continue to move forward and cover new ground.I encourage each and every member to find out what the PAC is all about. We have several upcoming events − step up and see what so many of your brothers and sisters have already seen. Remember to vote on Nov. 2 and have a good fall season! GET I NVOLVED IN YOUR PAC’ S UPCOMING ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS !
