• Through funding NTTAC to manage a national TTA initiative focused on grant writing and capacity building, OJJDP sought to promote the President’s vision of leveling the “playing field” for faith-based and community organizations to identify, pursue, and secure Federal grants.

• Responsively, NTTAC established the Accessing Resources for Community and Faith-based Organizations (ARC) TTA Program.

• To deliver TTA on the Federal grants process to community-based, faith-based, and nonprofit organizations, thereby enhancing their capacity to:

– Compete for Federal funding – Form partnerships – Ultimately transform American communities

• The Federal Funding Toolkit was designed to reinforce and supplement information received during Regional Training Institutes.

• Distributed on CD, the toolkit contains:

– A comprehensive set of tools for enhancing the journey through the Federal grants process

– Web-based resources, PDF files, and recommended print resources

– Eight resource domains arranged by topic area.
