Grade 6 Activities:

Friendship Ambassadors, Peer Mediators, School Leaders and ICT Monitors are jobs and privileges that Grade 6s take on.

Friendship Ambassadors are grade 6s trained to make it more fun in the playground for preps. They help preps make friends around Leopold.

Peer Mediators are students that help grade prep to 6 students sort out their problems around our school.

Debating is a fun activity that helps students become organised and confident speakers.

Indonesian

Teacher- Bu Mac.

In Indonesian we learn about their culture and religion. We are also taught basic language and how to say the numbers and colours.

For example:

1 is satu 2 tiga and so on.

Terri Makasi means thankyou.

We also learn what the sounds and letter make in this language, for example the letter Cc makes the sound Ch all the time.

Playgrounds and Facilities.

At Leopold Primary we have 5 playgrounds.

The prep playground, the 1/2 playground, the fitness playground, which rotates on Tuesday and Thursday grade 5/6 is allowed on the fitness playground, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday grade 3/4 are allowed. These days also apply on the blue playground. On the Adventure playground, grade 3/4 is allowed on Tuesday and Thursday and grade 5/6 is allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.We also have a great oval, soccer oval, basketball court and L.I.N.C. There is also a canteen.

Interschool sport!!!

Interschool sport is a program for grade 5/6s that lets us train in a team and compete against other schools. There is a summer sport competition and a winter one.Some sports we play are Kanga 8s, basketball, t-ball, beach volleyball, bat tennis, soccer, football, netball, volleyball, rapid fire and indoor soccer.
