School’s need:

• Economical 1st level support • Reliable, regular support• Sustainable access to expertise• Reduction in workload for IT managers in

schools – focus on teaching & learning

What were the drivers?

• It grew out of a need to ensure that our teachers were able to operate within a digital environment that was as reliable as we could make it and also a need to ensure that technical support was affordable.

• It saw tertiary, business and schools working

together in mutually beneficial ways.

• Cost for low level intervention $40/hour

GE4Skls provides :

• school’s basic IT support needs in a sustainable and affordable way

• a young person the opportunity to get their foot in the door of the IT industry

• WITT with enhancements to their programme – a Graduate programme.

• Gen-i with a profile & presence in schools.
