InflationWithinhousingandhouseholdservices,thelargestcontributionswerefromowneroccupiers’housingcosts(a0.19percentagepointcontributiontotheCPIH12-monthrate);andcounciltaxandrates(acontributionof0.12percentagepoints).Electricity,gasandotherfuelsandactualrentalsforhousingeachcontributed0.05percentagepoints.

Otherlargeupwardcontributionscamefromtransport,recreationandculture,andfromrestaurantsandhotels.FurtherreductionsinfuelpricescontinuedthedownwardtrendincontributionsfromtransportthatbeganinSeptember2018.Withinthesecategories,themostnotablecontributionswerefrompackageholidays,cateringservicesandtheoperationofpersonaltransportequipment.
