Sathin is the key animator of WDP at Gram Panchayat. They create
awareness and disseminate information about schemes and

To create a positive environment on the birth of Girl Child
To prevent gender discrimination against girl child in education ,
health and general wellbeing.
RAJASTHAN SAMUHIK VIVAH YOJANA
The objective of this scheme is to encourage community marriages,
marriage registrations, to curb heavy expenditures on marriages
and to prevent social ill practices like child marriage, dowry etc.
Rs 18,000/- Grant is given per couple out of which Rs 15,000/-
given to bride at the time of marriage & Rs 3000/-when
registration of marriage to the organiser.
Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) Scheme
Launched on 22nd January 2015.
Since March 2018, the scheme is being implemented in33 districts of Rajasthan.

MAHILA SURAKSHA EVAM SALAH KENDRA (MSSK)
Scheme initiated in the State in 2010-11 .
These centers have been set up in Mahila thanas and otherselected regular thanas of 40 police districts in the state. Thesecenters are run by selected NGO’s or service providing agencies.
Objective:- to provide Counseling, necessary legal/police/medicalassistance to woman subject to domestic, social and sexualharassment; to help & protect women against all kinds of violence,exploitation and harassment.
There are professional counsellors, legal assistants and Psychologistavailable at the center to provide necessary relief to women inneed.

Helpline number 181 Toll Free number is functional in the state since 2017. The purpose of Helpline is to provide immediate relief to women in distress.
Help line Centre is located within the office building of State Women Commission situated in Jaipur
It is operational 24x7.
Any women who is aggrieved and victim of any kind of violence or harassment can register complaint or service call on the Helpline. Services like Police/ Ambulance/ Hospital referral/ Legal/ Referral to Protection Officers are provided through Helpline.
The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence
Act, 2005
This Act has been enforced w.e.f. 26th October 2006
Act provides protection and relief to women subject to any type of domestic violence
whether Physical , mental, sexual, verbal or emotional
Any aggrieved women can approach office of designated Protection officer, agencies
registered as service providers such as Sakhi centre, Mahila Suraksha Evam Salah kendra
( MSSK) or police for relief.
All Deputy Director, ICDS, Programme Officer, Women Empowerment, CDPOs and
Prachetas are designated as Protection Officers under the act.
13 Shelter homes , all the District Hospitals, Satellite Hospitals, Sub-District Hospitals,
CHC, PHC and Dispensaries have been notified for purposes of the Act.
Under the act Court can pass order for protection, temporary shelter , compensation or
any financial relief to the Victim .

SEXUAL HARASSMENT AT WORK PLACE ( PREVENTION, PROHIBITION & REDRESSAL ACT 2013)
Directorate is nodal office to oversee the compliance of the act .
The Act provides for two kinds of complaints mechanisms:
Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Local Complaints
Committee (LCC). All Complaints Committees must have 50 per
cent representation of women. ICC or LCC members will hold
their position not exceeding three years from the date of their
nomination or appointment.
1509 ICC have been constituted and 33 LCC have constituted under theact in the state
District Collector is the appropriate authority in the district . LCC in thedistrict is headed by Collector. SDO’s and Tehsildars are authorized toregister a complaint and submit it to appropriate authority .

Rajasthan Prevention of Witch Hunting
Act 2015
Rajasthan Prevention of Witch Hunting Act was adopted in the state in 2015
Act provides for effective measures to tackle the menace of witch hunting
and to prevent the practice of witch craft in the State.
It addresses three important dimensions:
✓ Prohibition and punishment for practicing with hunting and witch craft
✓Relief and rehabilitation of women
✓Awareness and prevention
Collector, SDO, SP, Dy SP can register case and initiate inquiry upon receiving
information of such act.
44 cases have been registered under the act.
Prohibition of Child Marriages Rules & Regulations
Prohibition of Child Marriage Act, 2006 and Rules, 2007are in effect .
Child marriage is a non bail able offence as law Sub Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars have been
notified as Child Marriage Prohibition Officer . District Administration, Police, CMPOs, PRIs etc. are
primarily responsible for spreading awareness andprevention of child marriages
Mass child marriages are solemnized on or around Akhateej and Peepal poornima.
STRATEGY :- Awareness Generation and Campaigns❖ issue of child marriage has been included as
compulsory agenda in the Gram Sabha.❖ Sajha Abhiyaan –‘Bal Vivah Mukt Rajasthan’, a
communication campaign❖ Naubat Baja – miss call based edutainment radio
channel– 7733959595 has been launched to spread theawareness.
❖ Creating awareness among the key stake holders as tentwalas, caterers, PRI representatives etc., rally, streetplays have are conducted .
