Disaster Relief
The GE family contributed more than $50 million in cash, products and services to respond to the Indian Ocean tsunami, the Gulf Coast hurricanes in the United States, and the South Asia earthquake.
GE mobilized water purification systems, power generation, medical devices and more to provide relief in South Asia and the Gulf Coast.
GE also raised an additional $82 million in relief funds via the telethons broadcast on the NBC networks.
