ARTICLES IN THIS ISSUE: Dean’s Award of Excellence Worker Picnic Gateway Mission Worker Awards Spotlight on Custom Cleaning Employee of the Quarter Foundation Events 2012 SUNY of New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame Inductee Françoise Dunefsky -Dean’s Award of Excellence Congratulations to our President and CEO Françoise Dunefsky on her induction into the State University of New York New Paltz School of Business Hall of Fame. She was honored with the Dean’s Award of Excellence at the induction ceremony on May 10, 2012. There were many Gateway Board of Directors and Board of Trustees as well as her executive team in attendance. The School of Business is a place where achievement is recognized, rewarded, and encouraged. To this end, the School of Business Hall of Fame was established in 2001 to recognize and acknowledge the achievements of those who have made significant contributions to their respective business professions. The School of Business inducted its first members in May of 2002. Each year, the school recognizes four inductees for their achievements and service. Gateway is very proud of Françoise and her dedication to Gateway, individuals with disabilities, her staff and the community. A well deserved honor. The Gateway Mission Gateway Community Indus- tries, Inc. assists people in choosing, acquiring, using, and maintaining the skills and supports necessary to achieve success and satisfaction in their lives. We accomplish this through integrated vocational, therapeutic, residential and business services. Annual Picnic was held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at Forsyth Park. The event had a carnival theme and fun was had by all. The day was filled with music provided by Frank Banks of B.O.S.S. Entertainment Systems. Thank you to Ulster Savings Bank for making a donation to offset the cost of the rental of the sno-cone and cotton candy machines from Sav-On. Thank you once again this year to Darcy McCourt for donating her popcorn machine for the event. Baseball, face painting, tattoos, carnival games and bingo was enjoyed throughout the day! 30 Service awards were presented ranging from 5 to 40 years of service and 14 Residential awards were presented. Congratulations to all recipients! A special thank you to Jay Andretta, The Rotary Community Service, Ginsberg, Hannaford’s, Stewart’s and The Gateway Foundation for their donations to the Picnic.
