model offers four major advantages: higher efficiency,smaller footprint, smaller vent diameters and a widevariety of venting options.

Outstanding Thermal EfficiencyCopper-Fin2 gas heaters offer a remarkably high 89%thermal efficiency. This means that 89¢ out of every fueldollar goes into heating the water, dramatically reducingthe operating cost of the equipment. Copper-Fin2 achievesthis efficiency through the combination of an advancedfan assisted combustion systemand an exclusive gasketlesscopper-finned tubeheat exchanger. A timetested and provencombination.

The heat energy from the combustion process is efficientlytransferred into the water as it passes through the solidcopper-finned tube heat exchanger. The sealed combustiondesign of the Copper-Fin2 reduces external heat loss.This means that the energy dollars heat the water, not themechanical room. It also ensures that the jacket stayscooler, providing greater safety and requiring less clearancefrom combustible walls - just 1" in most cases.

Pumped Bypass StandardAll Copper-Fin2 heaters are equipped with a pumpedbypass which ensures proper flow and return watertemperatures to the heater, resulting in longer life andtrouble free operation. The pumped bypass is standard

in a horizontalconfiguration. Avertical configurationis also available.These configurationsoffer the flexibility tomeet mechanical roomspace requirements orpiping constraints.

Meets The Toughest Air Quality StandardsBecause of our unique fan-assisted combustion

process, the Copper-Fin2 exceeds today’stoughest NOx emissions requirements. Anindependent certification laboratory testgave us a rating of less than 30 ppm —

corrected to 3% O2. And less NOx means a cleaner environment.

Compact Design - For Installation EaseThe Copper-Fin2 iscompact enough tofit throughstandard 36"doorwayswith ease.Even our 2 millionBtu/hr model isonly 33-1/2"wide. Thisspace-savingdesign freesup more space in themechanical room.

service access and simplerinstallation. And the newreferenced gas valvedesign improvesoperational performanceby monitoring the pressurein the sealed combustionchamber to maintain theoptimum air/fuel mixture.

All models featurealternate air inlet connections for greater installation flexibility.This field convertible option provides the ability to connect theair inlet on either the right side or the rear of the unit. And thebuilt-in air inlet filter reduces maintenance and improvesperformance by trapping dust and airborne particulates that

can foul the burners andblowers.

You'll also save installationtime and expense withLochinvar's direct ventoption, featuring ourinnovative Aire-Lock™combustion system. TheAire-Lock™ direct ventoption allows the installer

to vent the products of combustion directly through a side wallwithout the use of an auxiliary power vent cap. By usingapproved vent material and an air intake pipe, this optioneffectively “detaches” the unit from the mechanical room bypulling all combustion air from outside the building andventing all combustion by-products outside through a sidewall. A feature that can really simplify an installation whilereducing overall installed costs.
