Muralidharan ([email protected]) 1 The following is a very rare Sahasranama Stotram (1008 names) of Sri Garuda (Lord Vishnu’s Vahana) by Sri Krishna Bhattachar. The meter (Chandas) as well as the nature of the Sahasrnama is different from the usual Sahasranama Stotras as it is also in the form of Kavacha (Armor Stuti) where each stanza prays to Lord Garuda to bestow specific benefits to the chanter. सय-ेद बृहन् नीड समाऱढा सािणे । सामेद-ऱपा गरडा नमो नमः ॥ ॥ नोगः ॥ ॐ अ ीगरड सहनाम तो महाम । ीसठ ऋः । मााश् छदस । साभीट-दाी भगान् पि-राजो गरडो देता । हलो बीजान । राश् शतः । बदः कीलकान । गरड-ऱपी ीमहाणु ीे जपे नोगः ॥ ॥ कर ासः ॥ ॐ गरडामने अगुठा नमः । ॐ ैनतेा तजयनी नमः । ॐ ताा ममा नमः । ॐ खगोमा अनामका नमः । ॐ कपलािा कनठका नमः । ॐ नागाभरणालखत-शरीरा कर-तल-कर-पृठा नमः ॥ ॥ दाद ासः ॥ ॐ गरडामने दा नमः । ॐ ैनतेा शरसे ाहा । ॐ ताा शखाै ट् । ॐ खगोमा कचा हुं ।
