From Professional Athletes to Industrial Athletes to Post-Op Patients: What People Are Saying About Game Ready:

• “ I’ ve seen a two-fold increase in recovery rates. Guys that normally would have been out for a week are back in half the time.” -- Stan Conte, Head Athletic Trainer, San Francisco Giants

• Patients recover at least 20% faster with the use of Game Ready. A patient’ s recovery is impacted by three things: Motivation of the patient; the type of surgery; and, the rehab device. With the Game Ready system we can positively effect the rehab part of the equation. -- Peter Millett, MD, Steadman Hawkins

• “It has reduced by 30 to 50 percent the time employees spend on modified duty.” -- Lyn Moore, Occupational Health Practitioner, Valero Refinery

• “ I was weeks ahead of progress compared to my other shoulder surgeries (without Game Ready). I breezed through my recovery and therapy this time. There wasn’ t half as much swelling after my third surgery.” Ben Kelly, Game Ready Patient after his 3rd Shoulder Surgery

Cold and Compression: the Current Standard of Care

Traditional co ld therapie s such as ice bags and cold packs:• :Why it works Reduces pain, swelling, and muscle spasms• :Defic ienc ie s of current s o lutions

- Inconsistent and uncontrolled temperature.- Poor coverage of the injured area (a bag of ice lies statically on top of the

treatment site, creating air pockets and concentrated areas of cold)- Leaking- Potential for frostbite

Traditional wraps and bandages :• :Why it works Controls swelling and edema• :Defic ienc ie s of current s o lutions

- Lack of control or precise application of pressure- Provides static pressure which does not offer maximum efficacy

Active compression enhances the effects of cold therapy…

Infrared Thermal Images of Cryotherapy Products Applied to the Knee• Game Ready’ s combination of active

compression and simultaneous cold therapy facilitates faster, longer cooling

• Game Ready Wraps provide circumferential therapy covering more surface area

• Game Ready Wraps reach key pain points for ACL repair or total knee replacement patients such as the upper shin and back of the knee respectively

Side view shown. First skin temperature measurement immediately after completing 30 minutes of treatment, and subsequent images at ten and thirty minutes post-treatment. All devices applied per manufacturer’ s instructions and all measurements taken from uniform distance. All devices applied on different days allowing full recovery for “ test joint.”

The Result: Accelerated Recovery

• Tangible evidence of efficacy in range of motion: Flexion and Extension.• Extension with Game Ready is two weeks faster recovering to pre-operative levels, and fuller Extension

is attainable with GR during 4 week rehab protocol. • Flexion with Game Ready at 4 weeks is essentially normal, while without GR is 10 degree deficit.

Randomized, controlled study comparing 40 patients who used either Game Ready or a DuraKold ice pack following knee arthroscopy. Goradia, V.K., MD, Warnock, N., MD, MBA (2007); Presented at Arthroscopy Association of North America April 2007.
