The only losses in that span came against Great Falls last year to and in 2008. ON THE ROAD AGAIN: This will be the first time since 2007 that Helena will start the season on the road. The last Opening Day on the road was also against Missoula, a 4-3 victory for the Brewers on June 19, 2007. In that game the Brewers featured four future major leaguers who were making their professional debuts in Eric Farris, Jonathan Lucroy, Caleb Gindl, and Eric Fryer. Helena is 6-0 dating back to 2005 in season openers against Missoula. The last win was a 6- 5 12 inning victory against the Osprey at Kindrick Legion Field two years ago to the day on June 20, 2011. INTERNATIONAL LOVE: Helena’s opening day roster consists of players from six different countries including the United States (22 players), the Dominican Republic (Eduard Reyes, Juan Santiago, Dionis Hinojosa, Ruben Ozuna, and Jose Pena), Canada (David Otterman, Dustin Houle, and Jalen Harris), the Bahamas (Sean Albury), the United Kingdom (Estevenson Encarnacion), and Puerto Rico (Angel Ortega). WELCOME BACK: There are seven players returning for their second stint in Helena this season. Ryan Fasano, David Otterman, Michael Turay, Renaldo Jenkins, Ruben Ozuna, and Jose Pena all spent time with the Brewers last season while Sean Albury played with Helena in 2011 before being sidelined during the 2012 season due to rotator cuff surgery. NEW DIGGS: This will be Tony Diggs’ first season as manager of the Brewers and his 10th in the Milwaukee organization. Before coming to Helena, Diggs was the skipper for the Rookie Arizona Brewers for five seasons. In 2010 he was named Arizona League Manager of the Year after leading the team to a 34-22 record and the Arizona League Championship. Before joining the Brewers organization, Diggs worked as a minor-league hitting coach for the St. Louis Cardinals and also was the director of player development/MLB consultant with the International Baseball League of Australia. CAR EER SO FAR: This is Quintana’s second professional season. He started his career with the Arizona Brewers after being drafted by Milwaukee in the third round of the MLB draft last year. In his first pro season, Quintana went 3-4 with a 5.82 ERA in 43.1 innings.

AS A STAR TER IN 201 2: Made four starts for Arizona last season going 1-3 in those appearances. In 19.0 innings as a starter posted a 4.74 ERA, almost two runs lower than his ERA as a reliever. Struck out 15 and walked seven as a starter.

R IGH T STUFF : Had much better success against righties in 2012 holding them to a .211 average (19-90). Lefties hit .313 (25-80) against Quintana last season.
