The Raiders finished non-league play 5-0 at home and 0-6 on the road. Colgate’s 5-6 non-league record finished as the program’s best since the 2013-14 campaign. • Sophomore Will Rayman leads the Raiders with 15.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. His three-point shoong percentage of 50.0 percent (28-for-56) ranks tenth-best in all of Division I. Since arriving in Hamilton in 2011, Langel has mentored and developed a Patriot League De-fensive Player of the Year, Patriot League Rookie oftheYear,sixAll-PatriotLeaguepicksandtwoPatriot League All-Rookie members. Langel has aided in the development of seven professional basketball players in Mike Venezia ’12, Mitch Rolls ’13, Murphy Burnatowski ’14, DamonSherman-Newsome‘15,EthanJacobs‘15,AlexRamon‘16andAustinTillotson’16.
The Raiders are 31-25 against Patriot League competitionover the last threeseasons. Col-gate is primed for a strong 2017-18 campaign as the Raiders return 93 percent of their scoring production and 90 percent ofminutes playedfrom the 2016-17 season. Colgate rewardedLangelwithafive-yearcon-tract extension inMarch 2015, less than twoweeksaftertheRaidersturnedouttheirhigh-estfinishinthePatriotLeaguestandingssincethe 1996 team finished first.
