NEW RANGE OF PRESSURE REGULATORS FOR PURE GASES

Gala Gar extends its gas regulation product range with a catalogue of pressure regulators for special gases, pure and corrosive gases.

These gases are used in processes where gas purity is a critical aspect for their efficacy (over 99.99% purity) or for the final quality of the product where they are applied, or for gases with corrosive chemical characteristics that deteriorate commonly used materials in pressure regulators for industrial use.

The range is comprised of single and dual expansion regulators, with inlet pressures from 300 bars and outlet pressures from 1.5 to 16 bars, as well as piping regulators that can work with inlet pressures of up to 30 bars and outlet pressures from 0.2 to 16 bars with an excellent quality and regulation precision.

Gala Gar uses high quality technical materials in this equipment, which adapt to the most demanding specifications. The regulation system is entirely made of AISI-316 stainless steel and the gaskets are made of PEEK and PTFE.

The dual expansion regulators provide high pressure and flow stability at outlet, guaranteeing a very stable process and its final quality. On the other hand, discharge curves are obtained with “i" irregularity coefficient of less than 0.05, which guarantees control over gas consumption and therefore over process cost.

These regulators are designed to regulate high purity gases commonly used inapplications where outlet pressures does not vary greatly when inlet pressuresdecrease. They are recommended for gases or gas mixtures that have corrosiveproperties.

These regulators are designed to regulate high purity gases commonly used inapplications where outlet pressures does not vary greatly when inlet pressuresdecrease (delivering the pressure through a pipe at medium-low pressure). Theyare recommended for gases or gas mixtures that have corrosive properties.

APPLICATIONS

Chromatography:

Nitrogen, Argon, Helium, Hydrogen or synthetic Air are used in laboratories for quality control and instrumentation and also to perform the gaseous component and liquid analysis.

Electrical insulation:

Sulphur Hexafluoride prevents the formation of electric arc in medium and high voltage switches.

Containers:

With gases such as Oxygen, Nitrogen and Carbon dioxide and their mixtures, the quality is maintained and the product life span is prolonged.

Fumigation:

Carbon dioxide is used in food and agriculture processes to eliminate insects on products, benefiting the environment.

Beverages:

Carbon dioxide, nitrogen and their mixtures are used to manufacture beer and carbonated soft drinks, guaranteeing improved flavour, texture and aspect.

Oenology:

High purity CO2, SO2, N2 and O2 are used through the entire wine making and preservation process, exerting specific functions that improve its characteristics.

Leak tests:

Helium and its mixtures are used for airtightness tests on closed systems.

Sterilisation:

Cleaning and disinfecting instrumentation and equipment.Pure Gases and Mixtures: Ethylene Oxide, Ethylene Oxide + Carbon Dioxide.

Gases for modified atmosphere

To avoid oxidation, avoid the formation of colonies of bacteria, fungi and also to give rigidity to the packer, gases such as N2, CO2 and mixtures such as N2+CO2+O2 are used.
