eGovernance Campus – Engineers Watch
With the motto of creating awareness on eGovernance in students, faculty and public the
giant organization Engineering watch of Delhi in coordination with central government of India
identified some of the top engineering colleges one per district in India, and assigned tasks to
promote eGovernance activites. In this regard GPCET reached the sixth level out of seven levels
and proudly received an invitation to attend conference scheduled at Singapore on August 16, 2014.

One Day National Level Student Workshop on ANDROID
Dept of CSE,IT Organized One Day National Level
Student Workshop on ANDROID. The chief guest
of the function is Sri G.Gopinath, vice chairman,
GPCET. Awareness on mobile technologies,
importance of Android and its implementation in
various mobile devices like tablets, mobile phones,
iPads were discussed. Various mobile APIs were
taught to students and a post lunch practice session
was conducted to gain hands on experience.

National Level Technical Symposium – IGNITE 2K14
Fifth National level student technical symposium was
conducted by department of CSE & IT. The Inaguaral
function commenced with the key note addressing of
Mr.K.Manohar,ITS Sr.GM BSNL Defence Projects. The
Convener Dr.S.Nagaraja rao briefed the intention of the
event followed by the inspiring speech of Dr.P.Nageswara
rao. The Vice Chairman Mr.G.Vamsidhar encouraged the
gathering by bringing home the idea of updating the
technology. The Chairman Mr.G.V.M Mohan Kumar made
excellent speech. Students from various colleges presented
in the sessions. Valedictory was another spectacular show where the college founder Sri. G.Pullaiah
was the Chief Guest. The stalls stole the show with an excellent musical concert by the students.

A THREE DAYS FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME ON ANDROID TECHNOLOGIES
The dept of CSE/IT/MCA Organized Three
Day Workshop on "Android Mobile
Application Development On 11th ,12th
and13th July, 2014. The dept invited Mr.
K.Srinivas , corporate Trainer as resource
person. His discourse had magical impact on
the audience. He brought home the abreast
trends’ in the Android mobile applications and
made every one thorough with the subject.
WORKSHOP ON RUBIK CUBE
The dept of CSE/IT/MCA Organised a workshop on Rubik cube on 21-
07-2014. The dept invited Mr. Kesava , a renowned personality who
got acclaimed in The Limca Book of Records, who enthralled the
spectators by setting the rubik with all colours with in 17 seconds. He
also explained the theory behind it. The HOD Dr.S.Prem Kumar and
the Principal Dr.P.Nageswara Rao falicitated him.
MICROSOFT DAY
GPCET celebrated Microsoft Day in a grandeur fashion on 24-07-
2014. The resource person Mr.Sreedhar a senior Technical Manager
of Microsoft delivered a seminar on various Microsoft products
importance of Microsoft certification and various disciplines in
software industry. The students enthusiastically participated and
made the celebrations grand success. The programme is presided by
Dr.S.Prem Kumar HOD of CSE dept.
CSI STUDENT CHAPTER ANNUAL INAUGURATION
09th AUGUST 2014,The department of CSE inaugurated the
CSI student chapter for the academic year 2013-14. The chief
guest of the function Mr.A.P.SIVA KUMAR, ADDITIONAL
CONTROLLER OF EXAMINATIONS
JNTUA,ANANTAPURAMU inaugurated the event.

Certificates on Rational Rose and Rational software Architecture from IBM
The Faculty of CSE department got Trained in
Rational software Architecture of IBM and were
awarded with certificates. The Program went on
under supervision of Dr.S.Prem Kumar HOD of
CSE Dept . The Principal and Management
appreciated the efforts.

SEMINAR ON "CAREER PATH"
Dept of CSE organized a seminar on "Career path" on
13-09-2014.The resourse person Mr.T.V.Rao H.R and
academic advisor threw beacon of light to student
community advising to enrich their communication
skills, academic percentage, knowledge in web
technologies, mobile applications and also added the talk
of placement readiness. The students got benefited out
of the seminar and the program is grand success.
MINI PROJECT EXPO
The students of II, III, and IV B.TECH Students of CSE&IT participated in Mini Project Expo
which was conducted on 18-09-2014 under the CSI STUDENT CHAPTER COMPUTER
SOCIETY OF INDIA (CSI). The event was organized in G. Pullaiah College of Engineering and

Technology. The students participated actively and exhibited
their products. The management visited to the Expo
(Principal, HOD s of various departments along with
faculty and students). The presentation was very interesting
and the students sincerely contributed themselves in doing
their mini projects. All the projects are useful for the
organization. Each project deals with different system
requirements. Finally the Mini Project Expo sparkled with
success. The deployment from the visitors regarding the Expo was outstanding. The students are
very much thankful for the management of GPCET for giving a chance to exhibit our talents which
is useful for the upcoming students.
FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
GPCET conducted Faculty development program on 26-9-2014 .The
resource person Mr.Sudhakara Murthy , CEO of yesaswini
consultancy and ex-alumni of IIT Karakpur motivated faculty
regarding work ethics. Principal of GPCET Dr.P.Nageswara Rao,
Principal of Ravindra college Dr.Suresh babu , Heads of Various
departments, Faculty of GPCET and Ravindra were motivated by this
program..
ORACLE CERTIFIED JAVA PROFESSIONAL (OCJP)
OCJP exam is the fundamental exam required to demonstrate solid understanding of Java and is a
prerequisite to a number of the other Java certificates.
It is designed as a fairly detailed test of knowledge of
the core features and constructs of the Java
programming language. It tests a wide range of
Java's APIs and core features, starting from basics
such as looping constructs and variables, to more
complex topics such as
Threads, Collections and Generics. It does not cover
specific technology domains such
as GUI creation, Web or network programming,
though it does cover part of the APIs included in the
standard library. The exam tests how well a programmer has understood the language constructs
