On behalf of everyone at the Children’s LiteracyFoundation, I would like to express our deepestappreciation to the 545 individuals, companies,foundations, and social organizations that supported our work in FY 2009. Thanks toyour generous help CLiF was able to operate 16 free literacy programs and serve 13,500 children across New Hampshire and Vermont (a 12.5% increase over last year).

CLiF serves those children who have the greatestneed, and we are determined to continue providing them with vital literacy supportbecause we believe that developing strong literacyskills may be the best way for them to ensure abrighter future for themselves, particularly duringthese difficult economic times.

FY 2009 was a very busy year for CLiF. Amongmany other activities, we:

➤ Started Program #16 to serve Childrenand Families in Food Shelves

➤ Hosted our 6th CLiF Rural LibraryConference (it sold out three months inadvance!)

➤ Held our first event for Foster Childrenand their Families

➤ Began a collaboration with EverybodyWins! Vermont

➤ Began communicating through Facebookand Twitter

➤ Started the CLiF Ambassador Program.

As our 12th year approaches, CLiF is now recognized in northern New England as a leaderin supporting and promoting children’s literacy,particularly among rural and at-risk children.We hope you know that our accomplishmentsare your accomplishments.
