Proof was founded in 2010 by three brothers, but its roots run deep and can be traced back to 1954 when their grandfather, Bud Dame, started a sawmill. Brooks, Tanner and Taylor spent their early years working in the family business which taught them a deep love for entrepreneurship, nature and all things wood. Bud Dame left a heritage of hardwork and craftsmanship that continues to inspire Proof over 60 years later.

Proof is the pioneer in sustainable eyewear and has been from the very beginning. Each silhouette is handcrafted using materials provided by the Earth including wood sourced from certified sustainable forests, cotton-based acetates, repurposed skateboard decks and recycled aluminum. Proof continues to keep the environment in mind by using materials that are not only replenishable but also recyclable.

Proof embraces the idea of being global citizens. Our Do Good Program works on a project-by-project basis providing a lasting impact on the people and places we partner with. Our bird logo represents the belief, “Everyone has wings to fly, some just need a little help.” Whether it be in Idaho or India, for maintaining land or providing eye care, Proof continues to use a socially conscious business model to do good.

W O O D C O L L E C T I O NThe Wood Collection is handcrafted from the finest woods available. Mother nature has taken great effort to make every frame 100% unique in this collection. Each sustainably sourced wood frame is hand polished and coated with a water and sweat protective layer.

E c o C O L L E C T I O NThe Environmentally Conscious Optics Collection is crafted from a cotton-based acetate and the finest woods available. Each frame goes through a 15-step handmade process to create a one of a kind piece. The ECO Collection is 100% renewable, biodegradable and hypoallergenic.

S k a t e C O L L E C T I O N The Skate Collection is handcrafted from 5 ply Canadian Maple skateboards. This high pressure skateboard construction makes each frame extremely durable for everyday use. Each visible ply has its own grain and personality ensuring no two glasses are alike.

A l u m i n u m C O L L E C T I O N The Aluminum Collection is the creative result of breaking down recycled aluminum scraps into classic silhouettes. Aluminum is known for being lightweight, malleable and infinitely recyclable. Sticking to our sustainable initiative, this collection gives recycled aluminum another, more stylish life.

ReVibe Lens

In February, we partnered with HELP International to support communities and people of the Philippines. Profits from the sale of The Philippines Project Sunglasses provided $15,000 to fund life changing initiatives including cataracts, club feet, and cleft lip surgeries. Over the course of 10 days, 13 volunteers screened over 650 people, funded 295 surgeries, donated 500 books and 300 hygiene kits, and reconstructed two rooms at a recovery center. At Proof, we believe in being global citizens and giving back to communities around the world, that is what our Do Good Program is all about.
