FUNGI AND SLIME MOULDS IN SUFFOLK SUPPLEMENT 1 Martin & Pam Ellis and Martin Sanford Most of the 152 species recorded here have been found during the last two years, 1989-90, but included also are a few that were inadvertently omitted from the 1988 list. Aquatic Hyphomycetes are represented for the first time. These beautiful little fungi develop on the surface of dead leaves, especially those of alder, collected from fast flowing streams. Sites where interesting or uncommon fungi occur are numbered. When a species has been found on five or less of these sites the relevant numbers are incorporated in the list. 1.
