FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES APPLICATION DUE DATES EXTENDED DUE TO COVID-19 Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has extended the deadline for Act 13 submissions to July 31, 2020, and the deadline for the Multimodal Transportation Fund to September 30, 2020. Applicants are strongly urged to contact their local state representative and state senator to notify them of their intent to apply. All programs require a $100 non-refundable application fee to be paid electronically at the time of submission. Multimodal Transportation Fund Provides grants to encourage economic development and ensure safe and reliable transportation systems. Funds may be used for transportation projects such as streetscape improvements, lighting, sidewalk enhancements, pedestrian safety, connectivity of transportation assets, and transit-oriented development. Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, economic development organizations Award Amount: $3 million maximum Required Match: 30% (this requirement is waived for municipal applicants) Applications are due September 30, 2020. Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program (GTRP) Provides grants for acquisition, planning, development, and rehabilitation of greenways, recreational trails, open space, parks, and river conservation. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has extended the deadline for Act 13 submissions to July 31, 2020, and the deadline for the Multimodal Transportation Fund to September 30, 2020. Watershed Restoration Protection Program (WRPP)

Provides funding to restore and maintain stream reaches impaired by polluted runoff. Eligible projects involve the construction, improvement, expansion, repair, maintenance, or rehabilitation of new or existing watershed protection best management practices (BMPs).

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $300,000 maximum

� Required Match: 15%

Applications are due July 31, 2020.

Baseline Water Quality Data Program

Provides funding for projects involving water sample collection and analysis to document existing groundwater quality conditions of private water supplies.

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $250,000 maximum

� Required Match: 15%

Applications are due July 31, 2020.

Flood Mitigation Program (FMP)

Funds may be used for acquisition of land, rights-of-way, and easements; feasibility studies; construction or rehabilitation of flood control projects; installation of security measures; engineering, inspection, and permitting fees; debris removal; and costs to secure bonds and insurance.

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $500,000 maximum

� Required Match: 15%

Sewage Facilities Program (SFP)

Provides grants for costs associated with the planning work required under Act 537, known as the Pennsylvania Sewage Facilities Act.

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $100,000 maximum

� Required Match: 50%

Abandoned Mine Drainage Abatement & Treatment Program (AMDATP)

Provides funding for abatement and treatment of abandoned mine drainage through treatment facility system construction or repair, operation and maintenance of treatment systems, and monitoring of water quality following remediation projects. Priority will be given to projects that treat abandoned mine drainage for use in oil and gas drilling operations.

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $1 million maximum

� Required Match: 15%

Applications are due July 31, 2020.

Orphan or Abandoned Well Plugging Program (OAWP)

Provides funding for projects involving the cleaning out and plugging of abandoned and orphan oil and gas wells, stray gas mitigation systems, and well venting projects.

� Eligibility: Municipalities, businesses, watershed organizations

� Award Amount: $1 million maximum

� Required Match: None required, but an eligible applicant shall provide easements, rights-of-way, and landowner commitments to allow project access.

Applications are due July 31, 2020.
