Basically FBCCI plays 4 major types of function because of which it is very important for its members and for a country as a

hole. These 4 functions or roles are-1.Protecting functions or roles: The list of the functions played by FBCCI for protecting the interest of its members are given below-

Protection of the interest of the members: - To protect the members interest and for their welfare the chamber of commerce present different related claims to different authorities.

Safeguarding Trademarks: - The chamber of commerce takes necessary steps under the prevailing regulation of protecting the trademark of the product of members.

Removing unequal competitions:- Though creating competition is necessary for reducing the price and increasing quality, some firms get involved in destructive competition.

1.Supportive functions or roles: Supportive functions of FBCCI include those functions which are undertaken to security the existence of its member organization. These types of function includes-

Counseling and Supporting: - Chamber of commerce counsels its members on different business related subjects and supports them.

Collecting, analyzing and providing business related matters:- Chamber of commerce collects different information about the socio-economic business related topics and then analyzes it to prepare report.

Market study: - One of the co-operative tasks of the chambers of commerce is the studying of market. It studies market, collects information, publishes these information for the assistance of the related members.

Removing or unfair competitions: - The chamber of commerce price to eradicate any unequal or harmful competition among the member organizations and to keep the market not the product static.

Creating and maintaining favorable business environment: - One of the important functions of the chamber of commerce is to create a proper and friendly business environment and to maintain it.

Collection analysis and supply of information: - The chamber of commerce collects information on industry and commerce, then analysis it, makes it useful and then supplies it.

Government advisor: - The chamber of commerce advises the government in case of forming the industrial law, business law, and import and export regulations.

1.Promotional Functions or roles: - The promotional function of FBCCI are aimed to promote welfare, good relationship and scope for giving opportunities from within and from outside of the organizations. These may include-

Issuing the certificates: - The issuing of certificate of origin is one of the most essential tasks for the chamber of commerce.

Attracting the foreign investment: - The chamber of commerce performs a significant role in the increasing of foreign investment to the domestic market.

Survey of the market: - The chamber of commerce conducts market survey to access the potential of the products produced by its members in the local and the foreign market.

Developing business education and training: - To make more skilled business persons and persons and to create new entrepreneurs the chamber of commerce arranges various types of short term and long term courses and training programs.

Developing foreign trade: - The chamber of commerce attracts foreign investors by giving them various advises and counseling.
