My Dear Focusites,
Greetings. I really wonder if those memories of the annual day is still lingering in your mind. In case the activities of the day have crowded your mind and covered up all those wonderful memories then this issue is intended to bring them to the forefront once again.
This issue is titled”Work @ FFI”. For those 45 of those who have joined the FFI team recently need to know what”Work @ FFI” means.
If you see the logo of FFI you would get to see a ring and 4 lines. There are many different interpretations to this logo. Originally when this logo was designed we had the target in mind. Focus on the target that was the message it was meant to convey. But like all other stories this story seems to be forgotten. It's time we get back our original script.
Focusing on the job at hand and it doing with a positive frame of mind, is the key to success. We need to understand this clearly.
The business we are in is not like supplying some equipment or software or selling some log-ins to access some job site. Any business can be only as good as the ‘people’ it has, and we are in a business of providing ‘people’ for organizations that impact the growth of our economy, so in other words we play a crucial role in the growth of our nation.
Our clients come to us with a hope that we would provide the best people for them. They entrust with this important task. And YOU not called to just fill some vacancy YOUR task is to provide the best solution for the client needs. This cannot be done if we work mechanically. Our heart needs to be in what we do. We have to have a positive frame of mind. In short we need to be happy.
Kaleidoscope was planned to instill that happiness and joy. I wish that each one of you refuse to allow the challenges to get the better of you. You must be have fun and be happy in all situations. These challenges can range from pressure to perform to difficult interactions. Stand firm refuse to give up your peace. You must always remember that in order to provide the best results you have to be buzzing with life on an individual level.
Finally experience the goodness within you, only then can you deliver the best experience to your customer.
ecently I uploaded a picture of my early Rschool days (taken in
1967) on Facebook and tagged a friend of mine was in that picture . There was a whole lot of discussions around it, childhood memories came gushing in like an avalanche. For 2 years of my life I was in nursery class, what they call kindergarten now, and then I grew up. Then I had the opportunity to work with small children in my professional life for two years, thereby recapturing childhood days. Just to be with children around, their shrieks, their innocence, their proclivity for fun and play will make one feel a lot younger. Move over Botox and Everyuth there are
better ways to stay young. I suggest that each of you spend loads of time learning from kids, they have a lot to teach.
et we reject the fun part but we carry that Ylittle immaturity of a
child within us.I get to see when I hear this word ‘escalate’ so very often. My good friend in the cabin next to mine keeps throwing this line in her tele conferences. Either she is using it strategically to get her work done or she is actually on pins and needles most of the time - I don't know. But lets be gentle on her and give her the benefit of doubt, & believe that her job is tough.
Talking about Beauty Pageant, I remember Sushmita Sen’s (Miss Universe)in an interview saying that the secret for her good looks should be attributed to her taking the staircase and not the lift or the escalator. We might have to agree with her for the movement of the legs to climb 6 floors demands stamina. Now any weakling can take a lift but only the strong and robust never would want to take the easy way to the top.
I realize why, as kids, the ones who sneaked or carried tales in other words escalated an issue to the teacher were always bullied and scorned. Tough ones do handle their own problems, they don't run away from it. They face it head on, open chested and also have the gumption, skills to solve them. Not so with mere mortals who use various methods to ESCALATE.
To come up in life take the stairway

Person X : Sure I will call in 10 minutes
Swapna : You don't seem to understand, I told you the issue has been escalated so please call immediately before the client calls you.
There is no problem with this conversation in itself. The issue is when I get to hear the word ESCALATE so often. The context is certainly a fire situation so that E word is actually turning out to be a bugbear of sorts. I even stopped going to those fancy malls these days, for I am developing what is called the Escalaphobia (fear of escalators). I used to love taking the escalator, or just watch a group escalate. There is grace in the movement, I picture how smooth the honey dripping conversations Casanova, Don Juan and Wilt Chamberlain may have in a beauty pageant.
Moral: To be professionally fit take the stairway to the top.

sales.
If they have already left for The
day. Put them in marketing.
If they are staring out of the
Window. Put them on strategic
Planning.
And then last but not least. If they
are talking to each Other and not a
single brick Has been Moved.
Congratulate them and put them In
top management

be done with fingers.
