Friday, April 15, 2011  • 9:00pm – 12:00am Once again it is time to come together as the body of church membership to pray together and have a heart-to-heart talk.  Pastor Sam will give a brief message entitled Cross Road in which every FTC member will be challenged to care and connect. Although we will give you a brief financial update, this night’s theme is not financial, but will revolve around membership, ministry and service along with another very important presentation.

Bring your children (in pajamas and with blankets and pillows, if necessary) as Pastor Sam will say a special prayer of protection and blessing for them.  THANK YOU FOR TAKING THIS CONVOCATION SERIOUSLY.

GREAT NEWS! “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:5b, 6a

In April, we celebrate Christ’s resurrection from the dead! This is the single most important event in history. His resurrection represents life, hope and new beginnings. The fact that Christ has risen gives every human being an opportunity to enjoy an abundant life in Him.

Unfortunately, many continue to seek “the living among the dead.” They seek joy, fulfillment, and peace in the wrong places. One might say that the casinos in Las Vegas, the nightclubs in New York and the horse racing track in Santa Anita are all filled with hungry people looking for satisfaction and purpose. They spend time and money only to return home emotionally drained and many times financially broke. Family relationships many times die because of addictions to gambling and alcohol. Sometimes inappropriate reconnections while “happy with wine” causes the death of marriages. Some even find the death of their liberty as they sit in prison all because they looked for life in dead drugs and other dead places. Others have found physical death while trying to find life in the wrong places.

Death is cold. Death is dark. Death stinks.

Fountain of Truth, let’s take this message to our friends and neighbors. Let’s tell our relatives and co-workers: Do not look for life among dead places. Let us point them to Jesus Christ, the one who lives and is able to give life and life abundantly!

I encourage you to each invite a friend on EASTER SUNDAY, April 24, 2011. We will be telling the world, in a very creative way, that the only place to find life is in the one who could say: “I am the life…” (John 14:6)

Membership class that introduces various evangelistic strategies and methods to be a successful “fisher of men.”

The doctrine class discusses the 18 points of our Apostolic Doctrine. This class is meant to establish a solid foundation for the members of FTC. Recommended for members of FTC who have baptized less than 2 years.

A series of lessons which discusses FTC’s practice of a Daily Devotion, the Sanctification Process & Apostolic Disciplines. At the conclusion of this seminar, candidates are interviewed for baptism. Attendees must have completed the Trees of Righteousness bible study and attend both dates.
