“Frustration is an emotion that occurs in situations
where a person is blocked from reaching a desired
outcome. In general, whenever we reach one ofour goals, we feel pleased and whenever we are
prevented from reaching our goals, we may
succumb to frustration and feel irritable, annoyed
and angry.
Typically, the more important the goal, the greater
the frustration and resultant anger or loss of
confidence.

Frustration can help an individual to
understand what a potential problem
might be. Thus, a person could use that
frustration as a source of motivation to
achieve a goal. In some cases, frustration can have a negative
implication when it is not dealt with
properly and can lead to anger anddestruction.

Frustration is a reaction based on emotions that we have when we have worked hard to achieve a
goal but the outcome does not meet our
e3pectations. Therefore, we e3perience frustration
when the results in a situation do not satisfy what
we envisioned. There are two sources of frustration. The first is a result of
internal sources that cause an individual disappointment
and the other is a result of an e3ternal source or sources.
