Beginning Monday January 30 two additional gates on post
will open during morning hours to give motorist alternate
access to the installation and air field and help relieve
morning traffic congestion.
The Nash gate on NYS Route 26 across from the Wheeler-
Sack Army Airfield and the gate at Munns Corners and NYS
Route 3a in Deferiet will be open from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
Monday through Friday to Department of Defense ID cards
holders only.
The opening of the Nash gate is expected to ease traffic
along NYS Route 26 in Great Bend. The gate in Deferiet will
provide an alternate route to the airfield. These gates will
not be open during the weekends or holidays.
The other six access gates will remain unchanged.
Mt. Belvedere, Iraqi Freedom, Gas Alley and Wheeler-Sack
gates are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Black River gate is open Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to
7:00 p.m.
45th Infantry gate is open Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m.

looking for volunteers to provide assis-
tance to soldiers and their families who
utilize the various services offered at
ACS.
*We are looking for volunteers in the
following areas: Information and Re-
ferral (Front Desk Assistant) and Army
Emergency Relief (Receptionist Assis-
tant). There is a 6 month commitment
for each position.

*The Watertown Rescue Mission is looking for volunteers to assist at their Thrifty Shopper store on Arsenal Street. *When an individual shops at the store, the proceeds from the purchase goes to the homeless and poor. Volunteers will assist stocking the shelves, organizing sections of the store, assisting customers and many other day to day tasks. *They are looking for day to day volun-teers as well as for two events they have coming up and will need volunteers to as-sist with.
