The Pratap House Biennial House Function was held on 21st August, 2015. The Chief Guest Lt Gen Punita Arora graced the occasion .“ Women empowerment “ was the theme of the House Function and it was aptly depicted by a short movie and the ballet. The ballet centered around the story of a girl who suffered from an unforseen attack and went on to become a fearless person . Sagar Verma, Srijan Verma and Ambika Pandey gave scintillating performances . The Hindi Play “ Bade Aadmi ” staged the story about a family which feigned richness in order to get their children married off into affluent families . Modern School, won the Overall Winning Trophy amongst 72 schools and stood tall and shining. The students of the Commerce Society have always strived to be the best. They recently participated at the International Business Me'lange held at Delhi Public School, R K Puram. The Me'lange was a two day symposium which focussed on competing and learning with zeal and dedication. Over 72 schools participated in over 6 different events; Idea Designing, AD Mad, Quizzing and three online events which included: Cartoon Strip making, Limerick writing and e-Banner making competitions. Modern School won in all categories at DPS RK Puram. The students, Nimar Dang(S6) and Rohan Aggarwal(S7) received the 1st position in Idea Designing whereas Aditya Jain, Niharika Khandelwal, Vridhhi Bansal, Gaurav Sindhwani, Vishu Sehgal won the 3rd prize in the AD Mad (AD Acting) competition. Pew Banerjee and Ansh Mehra won the 1st prize in Cartoon Strip making.
MODERN ROCKS AT RAHAGIRI
12 students of class S5 of Modern School Barakhamba Road performed a ‘Nukkad Naatak' at Rahagiri, on the Times of India and the NDMC stage at Rajiv Chowk, Connaught Place on 30th August, 2015 . Through the play the students of Project Citizen created awareness about the importance of sanitation . Issues ranging from personal hygiene and spread of diseases to public defecation were taken up in the play. The students performed with a lot of gusto . A large number of people gathered to watch the performance of the students and appreciated it .

Nukkad Naatak at Rahagiri
The PTA Sports Award 2014-15 were held on 27th Aug. 2015. The Chief Guest for the Award Ceremony was Mr R K Bhatia, Former Principal, Modern School, Barakhamba Road, Delhi. The awards were received by 227 students. These awards are organized every year by the Parent Teacher Association with the spirit to appreciate and encourage the players who have performed at the above mentioned levels of tournament and brought laurels to our school.

The Commerce Society of our School participated in competitions related to business ideas and development at GD Goenka School, Greater Noida . The competition comprised of developing a product which would be beneficial to the user and the society as well . Various competitions were held further on the product which included Model Making, Brochure making, Idea designing and presentation and AD designing and presentation. Nimar Dang and Rohan Aggarwal won the First Prize in Idea Presenting and Designing . Niharika Khandelwal and Kritika Jain won the Third Prize in Model Making. Abhiraj Chaudhary won the First Prize for brochure making. Overall, the Modern School team won the Third Position and received a trophy for the same.
