• I have edited a picture of Sophie for my front cover and here is the journey of the picture, in photoshop.
Photoshop• Here is the beginning of the
journey of the picture of Sophie.
• It is a mid shot, she is standing to the side so she is standing in a natural pose. rather than a forced one.
• This then makes the front cover look more inviting because the pose it natural, like what normal people do.
• So she is the same as an average person rather than showing off that she is famous.
Photoshop• As you can see in this first photo Sophie has a gap in her hair.
• I fixed this by using the lasso tool, pick a matching piece of hair, then clicking control and shift C then control and shift V. That then gives it its own layer and then you give it a mask and feather it 6 pixels, which bends it in.

This is before
(left) and after
(right)I fixed her
hair.
Photoshop• In this screenshot I have gotten
rid of her shadow.• Getting rid of the shadow
focuses the readers eye on Sophie.
• It also highlights her in the photo, so she stands out from the background.
• I got this colour by clicking ALT and selecting a colour from the original background.
• Then I used the paint brush and painted around her to even out the background.
Photoshop• I decided to change the
colour of the background to blue.
• However I don't think this has worked, so I'm leaving it as the original colour that I painted it.
• This is because it looks more natural.
