Front cover analysis Q magazine is an indie rock magazine whose target audience is broad but mainly concentrated on rock enthusiasts. The main image is of the lead singer of muse, who is a widely recognised artist not just by rock fans. The image creates a rock atmosphere by making it appear that the artist is smashing through the Q logo with his guitar. The colour scheme of the cover also keeps in tone with the style of magazine with the only use of colour being a prime red. The rest of the page is grey with the font in bold white. The lead article just says ‘MUSE’ in bold letters. This is because the significance of the band means that the name alone would be enough to entice the readers in. The pull quote is more subtle on this magazine in comparison to that of NME. This is because the lead article is what draws you in and then once your reading the cover, you will see the pull quote etc to entice you further.
