Art Workshops with Amy Snowy Birdhouse & Cardinal (Grades 1 to 6) Thursday, February 4th at 4:00 PM Have fun while learning to draw a birdhouse and cardinal. You will need to have the following materials for both workshops: heavyweight drawing paper, pencil, sharpie and either colored pencils, markers or watercolors. Physical Science on the Sandlot January 8th The red stitches on the baseball not only hold the cowhide together, they also serve as aerodynamics. You will learn about this and more...like why a player wears batting gloves and hitters choke up on the bat. Batters Up January 15th See how everyday math applies to baseball and the real world. Analyze baseball statistics and how they are calculated. How the Hall of Fame Works January 22nd Take a virtual tour of the museum and learn how artifacts are obtained and processed. You will see themed exhibits including African-American, Latino and women’s history and how the World Series artifacts come to the museum. Magic vs Science The Children’s Museum at Saratoga (Ages 4 and up) Tuesday, January 12th at 7:00 PM Learn to concoct a brew which uses household kitchen ingredients. Is it the magic wand or science that explains the bubbling chemical reaction of the experiment? Magic Monday with Ari (Ages 8 & up) Monday, January 25th at 7:00 PM Join magician Ari Bisk for an interactive virtual Card Magic Show. Ari will teach beginner magic tricks and secrets after the show.
