By Danny Chan FROM SCEPTIC TO SOLD Perhaps due to stories she had heard about unsavoury practices in the building industry, Caitlyn was once convinced that tradespeople tended to “cut corners to maximise profits”. But that was before she met the LDA team and Dean Arnot, her personal LDA Project Consultant. From the initial meeting, Caitlyn was struck by LDA’s professionalism: “I had met up with several builders up to that point, and by comparison, found the LDA team very well prepared and accommodating. While they took our requests very seriously, they also made practical suggestions that we hadn’t previously thought of – their vast knowledge in healthcare set- ups was clearly evident.” “Unlike other builders, they were not aggressively pushing their services but patient and honest in their approach. In just one meeting, I felt confident enough to leave the project in their good hands.” Dr Quang Dao’s Specialist Clinic,as part of the team of surgeons at the Sydney Bone and Joint Clinic, relocated to the Liverpool Day Surgery building late last year. The LDS Building in Chipping North features an impressive suite of state-of-the-art facilities, boasting 4 operating theatres and a 23-bed first stage recovery. Thanks to LDA making a quick first impression, Dr Dao and his wife did not waste any time sprucing up their own clinic to match the modern surroundings. The result is a sublime renovation that effortlessly fuses a sports-inspired theme and soothing ambience. A place where patients can unwind while being visually drawn to an eclectic collection of sporting memorabilia. Helping to set up the sporty mood, dominant neutral shades of brown, grey and white are cleverly contrasted with zesty orange accented furnishings – the latter seen on anything from plush swivel chair upholstery, cabinet insets and bench cushions to acrylic splashbacks and snazzy razor-thin recessed strips on the reception counter. These bright tangerine scatterings add a splash of exuberance to the restful atmosphere, hinting at the concept of regaining one’s strength and vitality through treatment and rehabilitation of knee conditions. Work on the 104-sqm space took “We have received so many compliments on the staff room alone, some coming from visiting staff from other practices. They often tell us how envious they are that we all get to dine together as a team.”
