First, A boom. A boom is used around the spill. The boom is like a collar and it stops the oil from spreading.

Next small oil spills can be cleaned up easily. A slammer sucks up the oil like a vacuum. Using a pad can soak up the oil like a sponge.

Lastly, large oil spills are more complicated to clean up. Setting it on fire burns the oil. Dropping chemicals from planes or boats helps it break up in to little bits

In conclusion the book taught me things about cleaning up the oil spills. I also learned that small oil spills are cleaned up differently then big oil spills!
