The EpiTrax team is pursuing an aggressive project timeline with the goal to go live by August 1, 2020. The project implemented on August 1 will not replace the existing WebSurv system. Newly reported COVID-19 case information will be housed in the EpiTrax system immediately after implementation. Follow-up implementations will move prior COVID-19 case information and all other diseases and conditions from WebSurv into EpiTrax. The end goal is to integrate all communicable and environmental disease surveillance reporting and management into one system. This will streamline paper case and laboratory reporting and manual data entry to enable timely response. To ensure the success of this project, DHSS needs feedback from the LPHA perspective. For project updates and an opportunity to submit your feedback, visit the EpiTrax project website at: https://clphs.health.mo.gov/lphs/diseaseprevention/epitrax/. PROTECT TINY TEETH IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT – Request for Applications The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), developed the Protect Tiny Teeth Toolkit to assist prenatal providers to address oral health during pregnancy. The AAP invites prenatal providers to participate in a 12-month quality improvement project to assess the oral health of pregnant women, screen, counsel, and refer to a dental home using the Toolkit and a learning collaborative led by our Project Advisory Committee. Practices will create a plan for implementing selected tools in practice, identify a measurable goal, track, and report. Participating practices will be compensated $5,000 to defray costs and will be provided with the necessary Toolkit materials. (MOC Part 4 contin- uing education credit approval is pending). To apply, please complete this brief application by Friday, July 17, 2020. For additional information, please review the Request for Applications or contact Hollis Russinof at: [email protected].
