Prefects and Faction Captains’ Assembly
Congratulations to our Year 6 Prefects and Faction Captains I look forward to working with them this year and know that they will
be fantastic role models for the other students in our school.
Community Service
The prefects have already committed to sending books to the children who were disadvantaged because of the bushfires in the
southwest. A book was suggested by the principal of Harvey Primary School as this provides a means of enjoyment and
escapism for these affected students.
This is how you can support this worthwhile cause -
Buy a book suitable for a child the same age as your child/children and put it into the box in your child’s class by 24 March. For
example if you have a child in Year 3 buy a book suitable for that age group. Attach a postit note with the name of the family
donating the book. We will then put a label into the book stating the donor family and Bull Creek Primary.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Parking
For the safety of all of our children please ensure:
You drive in a clockwise direction around the school.
You park in designated parking bays only
You don’t park in No Standing zones
You park facing the correct direction
Kiss and drive
You do not get out of your car
The engine remains running
You drive forward
Do not reverse into a bay
Do not double park
Staff Car Parks are for staff only. Also children should not walk through the staff car parks.
Swimming Training
If your child has been selected to participate in swimming training in preparation for the Faction Carnival Swimming Carnival the lessons will be FREE and will be held at Definition Health Club on Wheatley Drive, Bull Creek on the 1st and 15th of March. Sessions will start at 7.00am and finish at 7:45am. Students need to be picked up after training by a parent. Any students
not being picked up after training will be escorted back to school by Mr Boyes.
Allergies
Many of our students have life threatening allergies to some foods, (eggs and nuts are the most prevalent). In order to ensure
these children have a safe environment in which to play and learn please do not send nuts, nut products or eggs to school for
your child’s lunch or morning tea.
Thank you all for the great start we have had to 2016.

Language Perfect Payment If your child has sufficient current credit - this may have rolled over from 2015 or is from payment made in 2016 - it can be allocated to ‘Language Perfect’ however the school needs your permission to allocate this credit. A quick phone call to the office or a note in the student’s diary will suffice. If you are unsure if your child does have sufficient credit please check with the Office. For those students who do not have any current credit please make the payment of $30 for Language Perfect to the classroom teacher or the Office as soon as possible.
Child and Adolescent Community Health Child and Adolescent Community Health (CACH) recently launched the ‘Parent and Family Network’, an exciting new initiative to involve parents and carers in the planning and delivery of services. The Parent and Family Network is an email network for parents and carers with children aged 0-18yrs in the Perth metro area, to provide ongoing input, ideas and feedback on our services (i.e. child health nurses, school health nurses, speech therapy, physiotherapy). All Network members will receive:
· Bi-monthly e-bulletins
· Invitations to share ideas and feedback on our services (i.e. surveys and focus groups).
· Invitations to special Network member events
Parents/carers can join by registering directly online at www.health.wa.gov.au/cachnetwork. For further information please email [email protected].
