town hall which tears down notions of real space and time, this time dedicated to the town of Tábor.

10.15 p.m. MIG 21 A Czech pop music band with a very specifi c frontman

(a singing actor) Jiří Macháček.

11.45 p.m. FEKETE SERETLEK Live music and theatre at the same time. Th e band performs and

changes the motives of traditional folk and world music and turns them into new and original aranges and combinations.

1.30 p.m. CEREMONIAL COSTUME PARADE Th is daytime procession headed by Jan Žižka will introduce not

only Hussites and conjurers but also captured crusaders and conquerors of Tábor from the end of the Th irty Years‘ War.

Th e procession starts in Husovo Square at 1 p.m. and follows the route 9. Května Street, Křižík Square, Palackého Street and Pražská Street. Th ere will be commentary and audio accompaniment on T.G.M. and Křižík Squares.

2 – 4 p.m. KONSTANZ AND ŠKOJFA LOKA GREET TÁBOR Th e stage hosts music bands from Konstanz Musikverein

enriched with other styles.

11.30 p.m. CIRCUS BROTHERS A giant lump of positive energy spread around by Czech band

Circus Brothers. Th ey combine the folk brass music from Balkan, disco beat, easy pop and dirty house music = Balkan disco party !!

2–10 p.m. HISTORIC ARMY CAMP Novelty: Try shooting the sling of Hussite práčata. Look into

the military habits of the Hussites and their enemies. Tents, arm exhibition, medieval wall breaker put in action, each full hour shooting the cannon. Learn how to fi ght with a sword and a fl ail.

5.30 p.m. GAMES WITHOUT FRONTIERS HUSSITE STYLE Th e biggest historic game in Czech lands – come to support

your favourites. Hussite obstacle race, the competitors wear harness. Hurray on them! Th e prizes are awarded not only to the winners, but to the funniest supporters, too.
