Our pupils have enjoyed a wide range of learning experiences and we continue to ensure they have a broad and stimulating curriculum. I would like to thank all the parents for your continued support and for upholding your responsibilities with our a home-school agreement. A copy is attached to this flyer. I would also like to thank all our Helping Hands group for the many ways you are supporting our school. Please remember all parents are automatically members of Helping Hands and there are many ways you can support your school. Mr Newson will be doing an article soon to remind you of all the ways you can help. I would like to wish all our staff, pupils and families a very happy half term. Karen Khwaja Headteacher GREEK DAY As a finale to our topic on ancient Greece, Year 4 had a lovely me going Greek last Thursday. We explored what life would be like if you were a wealthy Greek. We pracsed our Greek themed assemblies and to top it all we had a lovely Greek feast consisng of olives, hummus, tzatziki, grapes and pia bread, all washed down with some pretend wine (blackcurrant juice). σας ευχαριστώ Ms Siddique Fuchsia Class Teacher Half-Term Dates 17th February-21st February Year 1 Trip to Belmont Farm On Tuesday 11th February, Year 1 children had an exciting visit to Belmont Farm. We travelled there by bus. They saw different types of farm animals and had an experience of petting and feeding them in small groups. We all had a wonderful day out and enjoyed learning about the animals. We were very proud of the children’s behaviour. Well done Year 1. Ms Shrestha Year 1 Teacher LUNCH TIME MATHS CLUB Every Tuesday and Thursday, as KS2 Maths Support Leader, I will be holding a lunch me club (invitaon only) to further develop our mes tables skills. Every week I will be giving you a maths puzzle to work out at home. See if you can solve the answer. This week’s riddle: When Omar was 6 years old his lile sister, Sara, was half his age. If Omar is 40 years old today, how old is Sara today? (Check your answer on the next page.) Ms Siddique KS2 Maths Support Leader
