2.Friction helps in avoiding accidents like slipping, stumbling and falling down.

1. Static Friction- occurs in stationary objects.

2. Sliding Friction- also called dry friction; occurs when to object rub or slide against each other.

3. Rolling Friction- when an object roll on a surface; there is a presence of a circular object that causes the rolling.

How does Friction Affects Motion?

1. Put a starting line on the table using the masking tape.

2. Measure two feet from the starting line. Mark it using the masking tape.

3. Stick the sand paper on the table using the masking tape. Make sure that the edge of the sand paper is touching the starting line.

4. Slide the five peso across the sand paper.

5. Measure how far the five peso coin moved from the finish line.

6. Remove the sandpaper from the table.

7. Put some powder on the table from the starting up to the finish line.

8. Slide the five peso coin

9. Measure how far the five peso coin moved from the finish line.
