Antoinette*The monarchy that was in power during the time of the French Revolution. During the revolution they were both executed.

*National Assembly

*the body constituted by the French Third Estate in June 1789 after the calling of the Estates General. It was dissolved in Sept 1791 to be replaced by the new Legislative Assembly.

and destroyed the Bastille. This prison and fortress represented royal authority; the revolutionists hoped to gain weapons and ammunition.

*Napoleonic Wars*A series of wars from
