Keep Iowa Beauful (KIB) has partnered with Fremont County, the Fremont County Economic Development Corporaon (FREDCO) and our 12 communies in a five-year program called Hometown Pride. The communies are Anderson, Bartle, Farragut, Ham- burg, Imogene, McPaul, Percival, Randolph, Riverton, Sidney, Tabor and Thurman. The purpose of Hometown Pride is to enhance the economic and cultural vitality in the county by supporng, facilitang and implemenng community and county plans in a coordinated effort. Doug Friedli, from neighboring Nebraska City, has been hired as Fremont County's Community Coach. "I am looking forward to work- ing with the cizens of Fremont County. The Hometown Pride program will provide long term technical and support assistance to the county and it's communies to make their dreams become realies," aid Friedli. " Community Coach, Doug Friedli, approached the Extension Office as a contact point for geng youth involved in com- munity commiees across the county. The goal is to have 4-H clubs appoint one youth member to each community’s Hometown Pride Commiee within their enrollment area. Each 4- Her should then recruit 1-2 friends (they do not have to be 4-H members) to serve with them on a town’s commiee. We are excited Fremont County Hometown Pride thought of 4-H’ers and their friends to join in the effort to enhance the quality of life and vitality to this great program! System Software Application. WE will be ready to go! Will YOU?
If you are planning on taking your beef to the State Fair,
we can get the retinal scans during the weigh-in!
Remember, you do not have to receive a certain place
or award at the county level to go to the State Fair.
Also, if you are planning on taking your beef to Ak-Sar-Ben, there is a $5.00 fee for taking the DNA sample, so please have your money ready! We will bring the forms for you to complete.
