Using existing clipart and graphics
Within most programs such as any of the Microsoft products or Appleworks there is a clipart gallery you are able to choose from.
This is a great place to start and most of us already know this. The libraries within these programs can be limited.

Locating Other Sources of Clipart
Clipart CDs are an option for finding other sources of clipart not in your programs library.
There are websites devoted to providing images for a price and also sites which are copyrighted.
There are also websites which offer free clipart, pictures or graphics with no catch.

How to save an image from the Internet on Windows Computer
If you are using Netscape or Microsoft Internet Explorer, position the cursor on the picture. This is also true for Firefox.
On a Windows computer, click the RIGHT mouse button;
A small menu will appear including one of the following options: "Save Link As...", "Save Target As...", "Save Picture As...", or "Download Image to Disk...". These options save a copy of the image to your local hard drive. Select this option. Select a destination for the file in the "Save as" window, and click on "Save" or "OK".

Making your own graphics
Have your students make their own pictures then scan them into the computer.
Most computers will have the software already set up for the scanner.
For those which don’t the scanner comes with software.
