Halloween Vocabulary Charts Guide

Print, laminate and cut out your vocabulary chart. You may like to print 2 sheets to a page using your printer’s settings. Further, you could

print out the color chart in gray style using your printer’s settings.

Once your chart has been printed (1 to a page), place it on your Halloween themed wall and

discuss individual Halloween symbols.

Use the chart for writing sessions such as descriptive writing or in writing groups for students

to write words and or sentences.

Ask children to categorize each word into two lists: ‘scary’ and ‘not scary’.

The record sheet can be used as a basic labelling activity. Or for older students, they could add an adjective with the noun. These could then be used for sentence development down the track. Also see our Halloween sentence joiners for more

sentence work activities.

For even more Halloween resources, please use the search box in our store to see such resources as our Halloween Vocabulary Cards and our EBook

plus much more.
